Hi – I’m Deborah Tobias – owner of Bluesky Web Company and a freelance designer for nearly twenty years. I began my career as a computer programmer (sitting in a cuby hole) creating inventory systems in COBOL. I put in time at various newspapers, programming systems that got the newspapers delivered to your door. I exited this field well ahead of the current decline of print and enjoyed fine art painting and selling my work at outdoor art shows.

After some time, I went digital and sold my tent! I don’t miss setting that art tent up early on a windy weekend morning. As most of my paintings included a signature blue sky, I decided on the name Bluesky Web Company. The idea was to bring the fresh air indoors – creating  clean, creative and inspiring design to the world wide web.

I enjoy giving small businesses a boost.  I’m comfortable in various environments as my clients range from surgeons, restaurateurs and divorce lawyers to clothing distributors, auctioneers and fitness studios.

Previous employment: creating ad layouts for BSA Advertising Agency, recruitment advertising layout for the Miami Herald, as well as database programming for Jan Bell Marketing, Hercules Aviation Group and the Denver Post.

Deborah Tobias earned a Bachelors of Science in Computer Systems from Nova University with a minor in Graphic Design. She has resided in South Florida since 1985.
